Tom and Al Daniel established Bailey Feed Mill in 1952, initially as a custom feed mill. In the 1980s, Bailey Feed Mill underwent a transformation, evolving into a reputable grain business and forging strong connections throughout the southeastern United States. This period also laid the groundwork for future strategic partnerships. Recognizing promising prospects and leveraging its advantageous location and access to dual railroad resources, the company expanded to a facility in Selma, NC in 1991. The acquisition of the facility at 404 East Preston Street provided additional opportunities for growth. Over the past three decades, the Selma facility has flourished into STS, a prominent transloading and rail facility capable of handling bulk, liquid, and packaged products across all industries. Presently, both companies remain under family ownership.
